While the observance had to be held outside, and two weeks late, the Kalamazoo Pipe Band was on hand as we’ve been every year since 1995.

We continued our tradition of participating in the parade through downtown and playing Amazing Grace in the service at the cemetery.
While the parade was officially canceled, various traditional elements of the parade appeared in a socially distant context, including members of the Kalamazoo Pipe Band.
With parades and fireworks canceled this year, the band kicked off the Fourth of July with a stealth gig at Bronson Park in downtown Kalamazoo featuring nine pipers, four drummers, and dancers.

We played two stealth gigs for Memorial Day weekend: a small gathering at Ft. Custer National Cemetery on Sunday, May 24th, and then in the morning on Memorial Day, Monday, May 25th at the Blue Star Memorial at Riverside Cemetery.
